The Yamaha RGX series was introduced in 1987. All guitars of this series are manufactured in Taiwan keeping the quality of Yamaha’s brand. The body of the RGX series resembles Fender Stratocaster. Most of the RGX guitars have bolt-on neck though some models have neck-through body. This series has a thin neck which makes it a good choice for those who like shredding. And the heavy sound of the Yamaha RGX guitars will perfectly suit for rock and metal guitarists.
The RGX also features A.I.R. (Alternative Internal Resonance) body construction which makes a guitar at least 25% more lightweight. This series was used by such guitarists like Ty Tabor and Blues Saraceno.
